If you want to buy a product offered by different companies, how would you decide who to buy it from? If you're like most of us, you pick up your smartphone and read online reviews about each company and make your decision based on those reviews. The same goes for anyone who will use your real estate services.
With the internet and technology that makes it easy and fast to access information about anyone, your potential clients will be looking for reviews on you. The reviews and testimonials they find online can be the difference between gaining new clients or losing them to someone else.
Get a testimonial from your client after every close
It is important that you receive a testimonial after each closing to determine if your clients are satisfied with your real estate services. Usually, closing time is a happy time for the client, so it's an ideal time to ask for a testimonial. It is always harder to get that testimony later.
Tell your clients it could be short and a few sentences. Many don't like to write long reviews and may not give you one because of this. A short report card that is to the point is just as effective.
Take a photo with the client in front of the building
You should definitely take a photo with your clients along with the testimonial request at the closing time. Photography in the object is always preferred. An effective image is to take a picture in front of the property while your clients are holding a SOLD sign or keys. When meeting the client at the property, a picture can be taken to hand them the keys.
Displaying your reviews on a real estate website
The most important place to display your reviews and testimonials is on your own real estate website. Your real estate agency website typically ranks higher in search engine results than your Facebook page and profile pages on Zillow, Trulia, realtor.com and other major real estate sites. This is why you will definitely want to display your testimonials on your agent's website.
You should have references visible on your home page along with a separate page that displays all of your references. Your real estate agency's web platform should include an interface that allows you to enter reviews and testimonials along with pictures of your clients.
Add to Facebook
If someone is looking for reviews about you on the internet, they will land on your Facebook page. That's why it's so important to create a "Sold" post after every close. The post should include a testimonial from your client AND a photo you took of them in front of the property. Be consistent and do this every time you close on a property.
Ask clients to submit reviews on Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com
Anyone searching for your online reviews will also most likely end up on Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com. All of these sites accept reviews and it is important that you build up your review count and your ranking on these major real estate sites.
Reviews are submitted by your clients from your profile page to each of these sites. A client can submit a review by clicking the "Submit Review" button that appears on your profile page. To make it easy for your clients, send an email with links to your profile page for Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com.
